Welcome to my site, I'm Suzanne owner and tutor at

The Koutoubia Academy. 

 

I am a qualified holistic therapist with over 30yrs experience.  I have worked in many different areas of the industry from busy salons to high end spas and for the last 18yrs I have been self employed and worked from a beautiful cabin in my garden.

 

I am a Dermalogica Skin Specialist and love to keep up to date on the latest skin innovations with them.  I have a genuine passion for all things holistic health and can never get enough knowledge and information on this subject, whether that's through training, researching or attending workshops and seminars.

 

Over the years i have met and worked with a broad range of people, and have experienced of a huge array of skin/body/mind conditions. This is experience which I believe to be invaluable in training I offer and hopefully helps to equip students for the various situations they may encounter. 

 

I have always had a passion for education from starting out as a classroom TA many many years ago, to helping to train and mentor apprentices in the various places I have worked.

Now with this wealth of knowledge and experience I hope to help inspire other therapists as they embark on learning new skills.

I offer a calm, patience approach to learning, seeking to ensure that all students are treated with care and respect and learn at a pace they are comfortable with. I aim to create an environment where students feel safe, relaxed and therefore opening to learning.

​

I want students to feel confident in their abilities after a training session at Koutoubia and know how daunting it can feel using a new skill for the first time on your own.  For that reason I offer an 'Open Door' policy where students can get back in touch if they feel they need further support with any area covered in their course.

We want to strive for the highest standards of care that sees us as therapists delivering the best treatments we can which in turn helps us build a large and loyal clientele.
